US Wind Ensemble MS Band Jazz Improvisation History of Jazz Technology in Music Practice Tips

 

Middle School Wind & String Concert tonight 5/10 at 7:00PM....

Middle School Concert

 

Dear MPH Parents, Teachers and Students:

On Thursday, May 10th in the Coville Theater, the Middle School Orchestra and Band students will be presenting their Spring Concert.  The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. with the Band performing first, and the Strings second on the program. Each group will perform for approximately forty minutes.

Dress for all concerts is a long black skirt, (ankle length), or long black slacks and a long sleeved white blouse for ladies. Men are to wear black dress pants with a long sleeved white shirt/long tie, black shoes and black socks. 

All Band students should arrive no later than 6:40 p.m. in the band room for tuning.  Strings students should arrive no later than 7:00 p.m in the Orchestra room for tuning.

Lower School Band

 

 

Students who are interested in learning an instrument will be placed in a group lesson with class mates who play a similar instrument. The instrument choices available for study are:

Woodwinds (Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet, Oboe.)

Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, French Horn)

Percussion (Bells, Marimba, Xylophone, Snare Drum)

*Important things you and your son or daughter should know to make their musical experience at a MPH a complete success!
